Knebworth House is pleased to announce the return of its autism-friendly early opening this Easter, offering a calm and welcoming experience for visitors who benefit from a quieter environment.
Taking place on Thursday 2nd April during the Easter holidays, the Gardens, Park, Adventure Playground and Dinosaur Trail will open early at 8:30am. This dedicated session is designed for children and adults on the autistic spectrum, as well as those with learning disabilities, sensory sensitivities or communication needs.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the estate’s 28 acres of formal gardens, expansive deer park and popular Dinosaur Trail, home to 72 life-sized prehistoric creatures, before general admission begins. Guests can also enjoy the Adventure Playground, thoughtfully designed with inclusivity in mind, featuring accessible equipment such as a wheelchair-friendly roundabout, nest swing and sensory play elements. The Gift Shop and Garden Terrace Tea Room will also be open, providing a relaxed setting to enhance the visit.
Tickets are available by purchasing a standard Gardens & Park admission for Thursday 2nd April. Advance online tickets are priced at £15.50, with on-the-day entry available at £16.50. From 10:30am, the Gardens, Park and Playground will open to the general public; however, early opening visitors are welcome to remain on site and enjoy the facilities until closing at 5:00pm.
