Knebworth Barns invites families to celebrate Mother’s Day in style with a choice of indulgent brunch or elegant afternoon tea on Sunday 15th March.
Whether gathering the whole family or planning an intimate treat, Mother’s Day at Knebworth Barns is all about slowing down, enjoying quality time together, and savouring exceptional food in beautiful surroundings. To make the day even more special, relax and enjoy live acoustic music from Lawrence Hill, featuring soulful vocals, feel-good melodies, and a modern pop-rock sound with a subtle country twist.
Mother’s Day Brunch
Guests attending brunch will arrive from 10am to enjoy a sparkling welcome mimosa alongside freshly brewed tea and coffee, before brunch is served at 10.30am. From 12pm, guests are invited to explore Knebworth Gardens, which remain open until 2pm.
The brunch menu offers a choice of classic favourites, including Eggs Royale with smoked salmon, Eggs Benedict with honey roasted ham, Eggs Florentine with steamed spinach (VE), or a sausage and bacon brioche. Each table will also enjoy a generous sharing brunch board featuring grilled halloumi, smashed avocado, miniature croissants, miniature waffles, American pancakes, golden syrup, and macerated strawberries and blueberries.
Brunch is priced at £36.50 per adult and £18.25 per child.
Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea
For those seeking a more leisurely celebration, Knebworth Barns also offers a refined Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea experience. Guests are welcomed from 12pm to explore Knebworth Gardens before arriving at the Barns at 2pm for a welcome glass of Prosecco. Afternoon tea is served at 2.30pm, with the experience concluding at 4pm.
The afternoon tea menu includes a selection of finger sandwiches with cream cheese, cucumber and chive; tuna with lemon zest and black pepper; and honey roasted ham with mustard mayonnaise. Guests will also enjoy Devonshire scones served with clotted cream and fruit jam, warm bakery treats including a miniature Knebworth Estate venison sausage roll and sun-dried tomato quiche, and a selection of miniature cakes such as apple cake, lavender shortbread with chocolate ganache, Battenberg cake, and a lemon crème brûlée tart with garden mint.
Afternoon tea is priced at £37.50 per adult and £18.75 per child.
