On Saturday 21st March Knebworth House will be re-opening their doors for the 2026 season.
Knebworth House, Park, Gardens, Adventure Playground and Dinosaur Trail will be open weekends, bank holidays and school holidays from Saturday 21st March until Sunday 27th September. And again, this year, are offering a discounted rate on tickets that are pre-booked online before arrival.

Open Daily for the Easter Holidays
Knebworth House, Gardens, Park, Adventure Playground and Dinosaur Trail will be open daily for the school Easter Holidays from Saturday 28th March – Sunday 12th April.
With the gardens & park bursting with springtime colour, it is the perfect time to explore the stunning gardens, adventure through the Dinosaur Trail and then let the kids burn off some energy at the fantastic adventure playground complete with slides, swings, and climbing frames for hours of outdoor fun.
The Garden Terrace Tea Room and Fort Knebworth Kiosk will be open throughout the holidays serving a great variety of cakes, snacks, sandwiches, and drinks. Ticket prices start at £15.50 and include access to Knebworth Gardens, Park, Adventure Playground with Fort Knebworth and Dinosaur Trail. Tickets including access to the House can also be purchased.
Autism Friendly Early Openings
Enjoy a more peaceful experience at Knebworth House this Easter, on their autism friendly early opening days, Thursday 2nd April and Wednesday 27th May. The Gardens, Park, Adventure Playground and Dinosaur Trail will open early at 8:30am for families with children and adults on the autistic spectrum, with learning disabilities or sensory and communication disorders with the aim to give families the chance to enjoy the facilities in a quieter, more peaceful environment.
Visit over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend
This Easter weekend, Friday 3rd – Monday 6th April, Knebworth Gardens be running a brand-new Easter ‘Signs of Spring’ Trail adventure. Children can become nature detectives and explore the gardens while learning about wildlife and the changing seasons. Pick up your trail sheet and follow the clues as you walk through the gardens, spotting signs of spring along the way. Once the trail is complete, head to the Gift Shop to enjoy a special chocolate treat.The trail sheet is suitable for children aged 3 to 8 years old and priced at £2 per participant. General admission tickets are sold separately.
Attend the Hertfordshire Garden Show
A must-visit for plant enthusiasts and garden lovers, Knebworth House will host Hertfordshire Garden Show this May, Saturday 2nd – Monday 4th. Set against the stunning backdrop of the historic house and gardens, the show brings together specialist nurseries and expert growers offering seasonal plants, from hardy perennials to flowering favourites. With a huge selection of garden décor and equipment stalls, it’s the perfect place to find inspiration and prepare for the season ahead. Tickets include access to Knebworth Gardens and Park.
Watch the Father’s Day Medieval Jousting display
Visitors to Knebworth House, Gardens and Park on Father’s Day, Sunday 21st June, can enjoy exhilarating Medieval Jousting displays at 12pm and 2.30pm. Against the dramatic backdrop of Knebworth House’s turrets and towers, costumed knights on magnificent warhorses will thunder across the arena, showcasing thrilling feats of skill and horsemanship. Guests are encouraged to cheer and jeer as the action unfolds. Tickets include access to Knebworth Gardens, Park, Adventure Playground and Dinosaur Trail. Tickets to the House can also be purchased.
Drive into the Classic Motor Show
Visit Knebworth House, Gardens and Park over the August Bank Holiday weekend to enjoy the popular Classic Motor Show. This event features an impressive static display alongside lively arena parades, showcasing a wide range of vehicles including saloons, sports cars, American models, commercial and military vehicles, as well as classic motorcycles. With children’s entertainment, live music, hot food and shopping stalls, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
All About Dogs
The UK’s FAVOURITE dog event is coming to Knebworth Park in September! Bring your dog on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September 2026 for two days of four-legged fun at the All About Dogs Show! Get ready for thrilling arena displays, fun dog show classes, breed meet-ups, expert advice, talent competitions, live music, doggy shopping and lots of pawsome have-a-go activities.
