Knebworth Parish residents and students of Knebworth Primary & Nursery School were invited to visit Knebworth House, Gardens and Park for free on Sunday 24th March. “Our Parish Open Day is a chance for our neighbours to see what we have been up to over the winter,” said custodian of Knebworth House, Henry Lytton Cobbold, “and to celebrate with us the start of our summer season. This spring we are especially pleased to show off the exterior restoration of our Watchman’s Tower, which has been derelict since the Second World War. We are also delighted to announce an exciting season of summer events, including Dog Fest, Luna Cinema and, returning for a second year, the Cool Britannia Festival.”
A record-breaking 1,097 Parish residents attended this year’s Open Day, which was blessed by beautiful Spring sunshine. The response of visiting families was positive. “Thank you for the hospitality it was so nice to see so many other Knebworth residents on such a lovely sunny start to the season along with many families and young children enjoying the facilities and really enjoying the excellent attractions of the House and Garden. The House and Gardens were looking splendid this year and so nice to see everything looking so well cared for it made me proud to be a part of the Knebworth Community.”

The Knebworth House Parish Open Day is a charitable initiative made possible by The Knebworth House Education and Preservation Trust charity and the Lytton Cobbold family. Knebworth House is open weekends and school holidays through to the end of September. Check our opening times for more details. Season Tickets for Knebworth Park are available for £42 here.
