Press Release: A Great Foodie Day Out for All the Family

The Great British Food Festival is coming to Knebworth House. Saturday 21st July and Sunday 22nd July from 10am – 5pm each day (last admission 4pm).

In addition to a unique range of artisan food and drink stalls, there will be a great range of fun activities.

Chef Demos

Top chefs and bakers from TV competitions and from the best local restaurants show off their skills and making some wonderful dishes on stage. The chefs will be offering advice and tips to recreate your own perfect dishes.

Foraging Guided Walk

(£3.50 per person)

Suitable for all ages and abilities (including children). Join the foragers on an easy stroll to discover the many varieties of garden plants and fungi used for culinary, medicinal and cosmetic purposes. Guided walks are around the festival site in a small group, which last approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Men V Food

(£5 per person – donated to charity)

A handful of visitors will be invited up on stage to their tummies’ limit with the 3 eating challenges. The entertaining commentator encourages audience participation, cheer on the contestants as they munch their way to potential victory.

FREE circus workshop

for kids (big & little!!). Let them burn off a bit of energy & experience something totally different – learn to stilt walk, plate spin, unicycle and loads more!

FREE Kids Entertainment

Keep your little ones entertained with some brilliant Arty workshops, Treasure hunts, Giant bubble making, Drumming workshops, Food Olympics and a Children’s dog show!

Children’s Cookery Classes

(£3.50 per child)

Get your children involved in some foodie fun with the 30-40 min cookery classes, perfect for little budding chefs aged 3-12 years old. Best of all, you don’t need to clean up!

Live Music

There will be a range of live music, from stunning solo artists, delightful duets to full on party bands.

It’s a fantastic value day out – for just £9.50 per person, you can enjoy a day in the Formal Gardens, the Park which is excellent for games & picnics, the exciting Adventure Playground which has had a new bouncy castle installed this year, and the trail of 72 life-sized dinosaurs. Knebworth House can be visited for a small additional supplement payable on the day.

And remember, under 3’s go free!

Book your admission tickets online before midnight the day before of the event to save 10%. Full price park tickets will be available at the gate on the day.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the Park and festival site but not in the House, Gardens, Fort Knebworth or food marquees.
