Step into an Autumn at Knebworth Gardens
Autumn brings a spectacular splash of colour to the Formal Gardens at Knebworth House. Take a stroll through the gardens and enjoy the changing shades of red, orange and yellow, while little adventurers can take part in a magical autumn trail.
With five challenges to complete, children can explore the gardens, get creative and discover the wonders of the season. Complete them all to earn your very own wizard title – Keeper of Autumn!
The Autumn Trail
Designed for children aged 2 to 8, the trail features five magical challenges to complete around the Formal Gardens.
Each £2 trail includes:
- A trail sheet and pencil
- A small chocolate prize, with a dairy-free option available
- Two hands-on craft activities
The Autumn Trail is available for an additional £2 per person. General admission is not included and needs to be purchased.
General Admission
– Each visitor requires an admission ticket, other than under 3s.
– General admission for under 3s are free, an Autumn Trail sheet would need to be purchased if they wish to take part.
– General admission and the Autumn Trail are free for Season Ticket Holders, passes can be shown on arrival.
Make a day of it
Your admission ticket includes access to Knebworth Gardens, Park and Dinosaur Trail, so there’s plenty to explore during your visit.
Browse the shop for a seasonal souvenir, enjoy a treat in the Garden Terrace Tea Room and discover plenty of photo opportunities as you explore the gardens.
Accessibility
This event takes place outdoors in the Knebworth Gardens and inside Lodge Barn. The garden pathways include grass, woodland surfaces and gravel, which may be uneven in places. Lodge Barn has step-free access.
What to bring
Our Autumn Opening takes places outside, please dress sensibly for the weather.
Please note: The Adventure Playground is closed during October and November. Knebworth Gardens, Park and Dinosaur Trail will open from 10.30am to 4pm. Last admission is at 3.30pm.
