Summer Evenings at Knebworth House

This summer, Knebworth House will host 4 spectacular nights of open-air performances on their manicured Sunken Lawn. From the uproariously funny Diary of Henry VIII, an enchanting Garden Opera, the original play of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, to a night of rock and roll with Queen Live – there is a show for everyone this season. Bring a chair, blanket and picnic and prepare to be entertained on this alfresco adventure. Do come prepared for the weather though as the performances will continue come rain come shine!

‘The Secret Diary of Henry VIII’
On Thursday 13th June an open-air performance of ‘The Secret Diary of Henry VIII’ by The Three Inch Fools will take place in the gardens of Knebworth House. This Garden Theatre performance will be an essential guide on how to keep your head in the Tudor Court – whilst others around you are losing theirs! Unexpectedly thrust into the limelight, young Henry navigates the ups and downs of courtly life, and all whilst fighting the French (again) and re-writing religion. The Fools hit the road with this brand new comedy – a mad-capped take on Britain’s most epic monarch, and those infamous wives.
