Knebworth Gardens & Park will be fully open this May Half Term, Saturday 24th May – Sunday 1st June, so if you’re looking for something fun and outdoorsy to do with the kids then look no further.

  1. See Bingo & Bluey!
    Knebworth Park are welcoming lovable characters Bluey and Bingo on Friday 30th May! See the Heeler sister duo, who will make appearances at intervals throughout the day and join them on an adventure at Knebworth Park.
  2. Venture into the Dinosaur Trail
    Explore the woodland paths to find 72 life-sized dinosaurs and pre-historic creatures grazing amongst the shrubbery. Children can learn about the infamous Tyrannosaurus Rex, Woolly Mammoth, and other fascinating pre-historic creatures.
  3. Indulge in a picnic and play in the Park
    Pick a warm, sunny day with family and friends to head down to Knebworth Park for a picnic in the sunshine. Fly a kite, play ball games, bring your dog (they’ll need to be kept on a lead) and enjoy some down time.
  4. Spend the day at the Adventure Playground
    The Adventure Playground is a great destination for little ones to burn off energy. Children can play all day on the swings, slides, play equipment and splash-play water features. Plus enjoy an artisanal ice cream from Fort Knebworth Kiosk!
  5. 50 years of legendary live music at Knebworth Park
    Bookmark Monday 26th May for a rare opportunity as Knebworth House custodian Henry Lytton Cobbold reflects on 50 years of legendary live music at Knebworth Park, the iconic venue that has played host to the greatest acts in rock history from Queen and Led Zeppelin to Oasis and Robbie Williams.
  6. Enjoy the views from The Watchman’s Tower
    The tower was originally used by the night Watchman but has been out of use since the 1950s and has never been open to the public until recently. The views from the top are incredible – a true Insta moment!
  7. Lunch in the Garden Terrace Tea Room
    Having fun can be thirsty work! The Garden Terrace Tea Room at Knebworth House offers delicious food and drinks. Relax and enjoy a home-made light-lunch including salads, sandwiches, paninis, and sausage rolls, cold or hot drink, ice cream and cake.
  8. Snap a photo in the Giant’s Chair
    There are lots of fun selfie locations in Knebworth Gardens & Park, but our favourite is the Giant’s Chair located at the entrance to the Dinosaur Trail.
  9. Get inspired walking round the Gardens
    Knebworth Gardens are superb to visit in any season, but late springtime is a particular favourite. Wander around and take inspiration for your green space from the vast flowerbeds and meticulous landscaping.
  10. Find Aslan the Lion in the Maze
    The Knebworth Gardens Maze is the perfect height for children to explore while parents and carers can help navigate their way to the centre of the Maze and meet our very own Aslan the Lion.
