1. Venture into the Dinosaur Trail
Exploring the woodland paths, our 72 life-sized dinosaurs and pre-historic creatures can be found grazing amongst the shrubbery. Children can learn about and be fascinated by the infamous Tyrannosaurus Rex, Woolly Mammoth, and other fascinating pre-historic creatures.
2. Have a picnic and play in the Park
Choose a warm, sunny day and head down to Knebworth Park for a picnic in the sunshine. Fly a kite, play ball games, bring your dog (they’ll need to be kept on a lead) and enjoy some down time.
3. Spend the day at the Adventure Playground
The Adventure Playground is a great destination for little ones to burn off energy. Children can play all day on the swings, slides, play equipment and splash-play water feature, whilst you enjoy refreshments from our new Fort Knebworth Kiosk!
4. Become King or Queen of the Castle for a day
Kids will love ‘Fort Knebworth’, a huge, wooden adventure fortress where youngsters can climb the fortress, clamber across bridges, and whizz down vertiginous slides.
5. Enjoy the views from The Watchman’s Tower
The tower was originally used by the night Watchman but has been out of use since the 1950s and has never been open to the public until recently. The views from the top are incredible – a true Insta moment!
6. Lunch in the Garden Terrace Tea Room
Having fun can be thirsty work! The Garden Terrace Tea Room at Knebworth House offers delicious food and drinks. Relax and enjoy a comforting cold or hot drink, snack, ice cream, cake or light-lunch including salads, sandwiches, paninis, and sausage rolls.
7. Snap a photo in the Giant’s Chair
There are lots of fun selfie locations in Knebworth Gardens & Park, but our favourite has to be the Giant’s Chair located at the entrance to the Dinosaur Trail.
8. Get inspired walking round the Gardens
Knebworth Gardens are fantastic to see in every season, with late springtime being a particular favourite. Wander around and take inspiration for your green space from the vast flowerbeds and landscaping.
9. Find Aslan the Lion in the Maze
The Knebworth Gardens Maze is the perfect height for children to explore while parents and carers can help navigate to find their way to the centre of the Maze and meet our very own Aslan the Lion.
10. Spend quality time with friends and family
