Knebworth House has been shortlisted for the “Big Day Out” category of the Herts Tourism Awards 2018, alongside “Warner Brothers Studio Tours, London” and “Paradise Wildlife Park”. The overall winner will be decided by public vote.
Members of the public can vote by heading to the Visit Herts website (https://www.visitherts.co.uk/whats-on/hertfordshire-tourism-awards-2018) or Facebook page (@visithertsUK) and vote for the winners.
As a special incentive – and to help more people experience the best of Hertfordshire’s incredible tourism destinations for themselves – anyone who votes will automatically be entered in to a prize draw to win an overnight stay with dinner for two people at one of the accommodation provider nominated for a Visit Herts Tourism Award, worth up to £300 (terms and conditions apply).
Voting closes on Sunday 4th November and the businesses with the most votes will be crowned at a gala ceremony on Monday 10th December.
About the Awards
The 2018 Hertfordshire Tourism Awards includes six categories, including best small and large accommodation providers, best small and large visitor attractions, tourism pub of the year, best food outlets and restaurants and the ultimate tourism experience of the year
47 entries were received, and a judging panel of tourism experts from outside Hertfordshire have now whittled these down to a shortlist of three finalists per category, with 21 tourism businesses making it through to the finals. Knebworth House is one of the three finalists for the “Big day out Award”.
Destination specialists Go To Places (who deliver Visit Herts) launched the Herts Tourism Awards to further motivate the county’s tourism businesses to create even more compelling experiences and adopt best practice. The scheme rewards exceptional standards of customer service and outstanding overall visitor experiences.
Finalists will receive an official award, accreditation and feature in a Visit Herts social media and PR campaign. Winners will also get the chance to go forward to the national Awards for Excellence operated by Visit England (subject to Visit England eligibility criteria).
