During July and August we celebrate 40 Years of Knebworth Park Concerts with an exhibition in the Banqueting Hall of Knebworth House of images and mementos dating back to the first concert in 1974 (illustrated on this month\u2019s cover).\u00a0 In my January piece I told how the concerts started \u2013 below is a roll call of headliners and audiences (approximate attendance numbers) that have made the name \u201cKnebworth\u201d internationally recognised as home to Britain\u2019s biggest and best concert venue:<\/p>\n

1974 \u2013 The Allman Brothers \u2013 60,000

\n1976 \u2013 The Rolling Stones \u2013 120,000
\n1978 (June) \u2013 Genesis \u2013 70,000
